4/24/2020

For Immediate Release:

CRUSA/FC Bucks Longtime Director Chris Fehrle named Director of Player Development

CRUSA/FC Bucks announced today that Chris Fehrle has been named FC Bucks Director of Player Development for the 2020-21 Season. This is a reassignment for Fehrle within the club to focus his expertise on the younger age groups and shift his attention on establishing these players as they develop from the discovery phase and transition into the skill acquisition phase for each player as they comes through the FC Bucks youth system. This is a newly created position by FC Bucks Director of Coaching Chris McLain who has prioritized individual player development as one of the most important pillars within the club.

Coach Fehrle, who has spent several years as the Girls ECNL Director at FC Bucks will work primarily with the Youth Academy Ages (u7-u8), and the Pre-Academy Players (u9 to u14), as he will lead and instruct coaches in those age groups on the best methods to enhance technical skill development and individual skill acquisition.

Coach McLain was full of praise with the announcement of Chris Fehrle taking on this new role. “I’m more than ecstatic to have Chris continue being a major piece of this club and I am looking forward to seeing him put a tremendous emphasis on the bloodline of any great club. He will reshape our younger players and continue to lead/produce some of the best players on the east coast.”

“Having someone of Chris’s caliber, able to focus on the most important years of development for a soccer player is a direct reflection of our club’s new mission, I’m proud to have Chris take on this role and I’m convinced he will raise the bar to the highest levels possible”, continued McLain.

Coach Fehrle is not a new name in the CRUSA/ FC Bucks community. Chris has coached in the club since 2008 and brings success stories to every team he has coached. Fehrle was a decorated player in his time. He enjoyed success at Division 1 powerhouse soccer programs University of Virginia and Syracuse University and went on to play indoor soccer professionally with the Philadelphia Kixx in the Major Indoor Soccer League.

“I am extremely grateful for the new opportunity Chris McLain and the board have provided me, I look forward to working with Chris and the rest of the staff, and I am excited for the future for CRUSA/FC Bucks”, Fehrle expressed.
